Acupuncture in Oxford

The Bigroom approach relies on the skills of the practitioners that operate it. Here, the Bigroom set up has been passionately run by two acupuncturists that have very successful practices.

Tom Kennedy runs a private acupuncture clinic in Bristol, at the Natural Health Clinc. From the same venue, he offers a low-cost multi-bed option, as do other practitioners.

Bigroom clinics were set up in Oxford and Bristol to provide affordable acupuncture treatment to the whole community. The open-plan setting allows the practitioners to treat more than one patient at the same time, in the same room, thus significantly reducing the cost of each treatment for the patient.

Your first appointment will consist of an hour-long consultation and treatment. We will take a detailed medical history and discuss your main complaint with you, whilst exploring any other health concerns. Follow-up appointments last 40 minutes.

All bigroom practitioners are fully qualified and are registered with the British Acupuncture Council. You can request a male or female practitioner when you book, or just have one assigned for you. You will then stay with the same practitioner for the duration of your course of treatment, with the exception of any unforeseen absences.

Most patients find the open-plan shared space to be surprisingly private and respectful. Screens are used between treatment couches, and your comfort is always a high priority.

Complimentary therapies such as acupuncture can be difficult to access via the NHS, and are often expensive in private practice. Bigroom acupuncture Oxford offers an excellent opportunity for the public to access acupuncture treatment for around half the price of a one-to-one session. We aim to provide a pleasant, respectful and safe environment where positive change can happen at an affordable price.
