Traditional acupuncture treats each patient as a unique individual. This holistic approach is not easy to assess in a way that suits the prevelant research methods of Western science. However, new research is continually being undertaken, and the evidence base for acupuncture is steadily growing.
The Acupuncture Research Resource Centre (ARRC) was established by the British Acupuncure council to collect research data, and generate new research. They have developed fact sheets and review papers covering the conditions listed below. These resources are intended to provide an accurate and unbiased summary of existant research, and how acupuncture may be beneficial. You should always consult your GP if you have any concerns about your health.
